Wow, the EA authorities have included 50MHz in the general EA licence - so visitors now get to use 6m under CEPT:-))

"The Spanish radio league URE sent the bellow message to all IARU Societies. Hope it is now clear. Congrats to all G, DL, OZ, ON, PA ... etc, who prefer our sun and our beaches, now can enjoy the DX on 6 down here: The Spanish Government has approved new amateur radio regulations which will come into force tomorrow 10th of June 2006. The most important changes are: - The extinction of the three Spanish licences (General-EA, Restricted-EB and Novice-EC). All Spanish licensed have the same privileges from now on, so you will hear in all bands not only EA but also EB and EC stations. - All amateurs are allowed to use the 50-51 MHz band, including visitors from CEPT countries or others foreign amateurs with temporary licence, but there are geographical restrictions in the centre of Spain due to TV emissions. The text of the new regulations in Spanish language can be found at http://www.ure.es/ureinforma/Reglamento_Radioaficionados.pdf
Best 73, Jose Díaz, EA4BPJ URE General Secretary"
