May - as the Es season kicks
in I will not be reporting fully here - just highlights
11th - probably the best visual Aurora I've ever seen from anywhere in
the UK - and that was from down here in SE Crnwall!
50MHz Au and AuEs were not too shabby either!
13th Just back from a weekend away and a
call from Gary M0CTP at 2016z alerted me to the fact that Andy 5Z4VJ was
into the UK !!
I jumped ion the truck and drove up to my hilltop shack. Andy was there
and stable but not hearing me:-( After fading to noise he came back and
we finally worked at 21:00z. TNX Andy (and Gary) for DXCC # 269 on
50MHz! June - I will not be reporting
fully for June - too much info! - just highlights
8th
wow - what a day - a good early afternoon opening to the Caribbean and N
America and then the Protons hit the fan!
3B8 very loud off the back of the beam and a message
was sent to Marek FT4GL on Glorioso.
He came to the band on FT8 and suddenly he had
thousands of callers from all over Europe. It took a while but I finally
got through! Thanks Marek for an ATNO and DXCC # 270 on 50MHz.
The image below shows 4 strong FT8 streams from FT4GL

Something of note on 6m:
16th Woohoo - just got back from Beacon site to see ZD9GJ on my screen.
Waited forever for my amp to warm up called him(and called him!) And
eventually a result!
17th Just managed to work Lance on 50MHz Q65 EME on his
first viable moonrise. This is the one I wanted. The TEP QSO was an
unexpected bonus. Thank you soooo much Mr Moonbounce Lance Collister.
October
3rd On the back of the re4cent X7.1 flare a
nice surprise this morning - DU6/PE1NSG was into W Europe from around
08:00z. I was late to the shack but still worked him just before 09:00z
THEN AT 12:15Z THE STRONGEST FLARE YET: Sunspot AR3842 exploded again
today, producing the strongest solar flare of Solar Cycle 25 so far. The
X9-category blast hurled a CME directly toward Earth. This makes two
CMEs now en route to our planet. The forecast calls for auroras this
weekend. Full story @ Spaceweather.com. Who knows what today's X9 flare
will bring (probably next week as I'm on vacation in S France.)
